WorkforceHW - Medical Staff

John W. Cromer, Jr., MD, MS, MSPH

John W. Cromer, Jr., MD, MS, MSPH serves as co-founder and Medical Director. He completed his medical education at the University of Nebraska and his Occupational Medicine specialty training at the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and at the University of North Carolina, School of Public Health. He is board certified in Occupational Medicine and is also certified as a Medical Review Officer (MRO) and Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). Dr Cromer served as a full-time faculty member in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Duke University Medical Center from 1979-1991. He has continued as an Adjunct Clinical Professor for Duke since 1992, and serves as a teaching faculty member, Clinical Professor of Medicine, Campbell University School of Medicine.

Tonia Goudarzi RN, BSN

Tonia Goudarzi RN, BSN serves as co-founder and Administrator for WHW. She completed her nursing education at East Carolina University along with completing her finance studies at the North Carolina Bank Directors College at the University of North Carolina. Ms. Goudarzi has successfully managed a consulting team, for over eighteen years, that has been involved with many multi-million-dollar businesses in the field of occupational medicine and clinic operations. She was a board member of Port City Capital Bank from 2002-2006 and the University of North Carolina in Wilmington from 1999-2003.

Tina Padgett, RN

Tina Padgett, RN serves as the Director of Clinical Operations for WHW. She completed her nursing education at James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville, North Carolina, and earned her Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing Specialty from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Padgett oversees clinic operations, compliance with all regulatory agencies, marketing occupational health, wellness, safety programs, as well as directly being responsible for developing and conducting on-site occupational services with regards to health fairs, wellness screenings, and training of the onsite occupational health nurses and staffs. Ms. Padgett is certified in CPR, BAT, CAOH and NIOSH Spirometry, and site NCDOL Certificate of Safety Achievements. She is a past member of the ASSE – American Society of Safety Engineers and past secretary of the Wilmington Health & Safety School which she served as a member for over 18 years. Served her community as past President of Wallace Junior Woman’s Club, Duplin County March of Dimes Chairman, Wallace Mayors Bond Committee, Duplin County Youth Council and past Board Member of the Wallace Chamber of Commerce.

Meredith Wawner, PA-C

Meredith Wawner, PA-C, assists in the clinical operations of Workforce Health & Wellness under the direction of John W. Cromer, Jr., MD, MS, MSPH. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a Master of Science and Physician Assistant degrees at East Carolina University. Ms. Wawner is Board Certified as a Physician Assistant in North Carolina and is nationally certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Ms. Wawner has over twenty-three years of direct patient care specializing in general, gastroenterology, bariatric surgery, Occupational Medicine (CAOHC certification), as well as prior scientific employment regarding pharmaceutical analysis in quality control, and research & development.

Barrie M. Lange-Schneithorst, MBA, BSHA, CHCO, CBCS

Barrie M. Lange-Schneithorst, MBA, BSHA, CHCO, CBCS assists as Director of Business Operations and Compliance for WHW. She attended and completed her undergraduate and graduate degree, graduating cum laude, at the Ohio State University and Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. She has over twenty-six years of experience in the healthcare arena specializing in human resources, project management, business operations, cost analysis, medical billing & insurance, HIPAA compliance, and EMR systems. Ms. Lange has served as an adjunct instructor and guest lecturer at various universities and colleges.
